These printed finished products look the same, but in fact, they generally include two common printing methods. Today we will discuss, from the perspective of pharmaceutical companies, how to choose the most economical and applicable aluminum foil printing method!

First of all, let's sort out how these two printing methods are distinguished.

We can start with the structure. The unprinted medicinal aluminum foil is mainly composed of three parts: protective agent, aluminum foil, and heat sealant (from outside to inside). The printed layer can appear on the outermost layer of the protective agent (ink, protective agent, aluminum foil, heat sealant), or between the protective agent and the aluminum foil (protective agent, ink, aluminum foil, heat sealant).
It can be divided from the procurement channel. If the procurement channel is a printing factory, then 90% of the printed aluminum foil you purchased may be printed on the outermost layer. If it is directly purchased by the source manufacturer, it is generally printed in the middle layer.

Then another question arises, what are the advantages and disadvantages of these two printing methods? Similarly, we also have an in-depth understanding from several angles.

The degree of wear resistance of printing. The wear resistance of aluminum foil printed on the outermost layer is worse. During transportation, if it encounters bumps or scratches, the printed pattern on the surface will fall off to varying degrees. Therefore, for printing durability, aluminum foil printed between the protective agent and the aluminum foil (protective agent, ink, aluminum foil, heat sealant) works better.
Printing MOQ. For the packaging of new products, the initial quantity may not be large. The MOQ of pharmaceutical aluminum manufacturers is usually higher than that of printing factories, generally 200-500KG. The MOQ of printing factories is around 50-100KG. Therefore, for the selling price that requires small batch orders, the quantity of outer printing should be more suitable for the initial purchase of new products.
Printed product cost. Low MOQ prints tend to have higher unit prices, and the purchase unit cost of printed matter increases.
Therefore, for the purchase of printed medicinal aluminum foil, it is necessary to consider the finished product and sales volume, and choose the most suitable printing method.
